Why reenact the American Civil War? To honor those who came before us. To educate the public and to protect our American story. To enjoy the friendship of our pards in arms!
What do the WFB participate in? Primarily the Western Federal Blues participate in living histories and reenactments in the Civil War’s Western Theater; however, we do go east for events. Our members are often also asked to be in documentaries as well as major film productions.
Can my family participate with me? The Western Federal Blues is a military organization that recreates the fighting men of the Civil War. Occasionally there may be opportunities to interact with individuals who recreate the civilians of the mid-19th Century, but primarily our organization is a military organization that operates as such in the field.
Can I belong to another reenacting organization and still join the Blues? Yes – we encourage those who participate with us to belong to other historical organizations.
How much does it cost to join the Western Federal Blues? Nothing! Reenacting is an expensive hobby and we do not require any membership dues to participate with the Blues. We will be happy to help you get your uniform and accouterments together by assigning you a mentor.
HOW DO I SIGN UP? PLEASE CONTACT OUR ADJUTANT MICAH TRENT WHO WILL HELP YOU GET STARTED.
